As principal and owner of WCI, Inc (Wholesale Commercial Interiors), Jennifer is recognized not only as a successful business person, but someone who has significantly assisted the growth and success of the northwest hospitality industry. Under Jennifer’s direction, the company has grown its client list in seven western states including select nationwide projects. WCI is listed as one of the top 35 hospitality design firms in the U.S.

 

Jennifer started her hospitality career in Lake Tahoe as the Design Manager for a North Lake Tahoe Managment company overseeing hotel and condominium projects in California and Nevada. Moving back to Portland she broadened her experience as Director of Design and Purchasing for Nendels Inns, gaining "hands-on" operational experience as the company grew from twelve to forty five properties in eight years.

 

Jennifer founded WCI in 1991 as a unique one-stop resource for the hospitality industry with services including design, procurement and installation. Now with a staff of 16, WCI has branched out securing a diverse clientele, from franchised, boutique and independent hotels, resorts, to casinos, spas and restaurants.

 

Jennifer’s affiliation with community and hospitality organizations has gained her respect and a reputation as a leader in the industry. She encourages her staff to participate in charitable organizations such as Dress For Success Oregon, Neighborhood House, Meals on Wheels and donates annually to the AH&LA Scholarship Fund. Jennifer is a member of AH&LA, Women in Lodging (WIL), International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP), Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) and state lodging associations including Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Nevada.
