Valérie Antoinette is an active player on the international business circuit, conducting seminars on international business development and assisting individuals in reaching their personal best. Valérie is a certified image consultant of the Association of Image Consultants International, the most prestigious trade association in the worldwide image industry.
Jennifer and Valerie created 8 customized presentations specifically designed to fit the WCI team members and the hospitality industry. The classes ranged from “Dressing the Part ”, “Introduction and Presentation”, “Traveling for Business”, to “Incorporating Wine in Your Business," etc.
The “Dressing the Part” class was focused on identifying your style, body type and personal color. “Valerie helped us to discover what style of clothes we should wear to enhance our best attributes and disguise areas we need to” said Tiffany Weber of WCI. It was interesting to learn that by wearing the right color it accounts for 70% of the impression people will get from your clothes.
In the “Introduction and Presentation” class, we went through exercises of how to shake hands in a positive way by who should reach first and to make sure to look people in the eyes. Valerie taught us techniques to remember people’s names, how to introduce one person to another and the art of preliminary conversation. To quote Audrey Hepburn while you work a room: “Walk with the knowledge that you are never alone”.
WCI staff gained knowledge that can be used in professional and personal life from the “How to look fabulous out of a carry-on 24/7” and “Incorporating wine in your business arsenal”. Both of these courses were interactive which made it very interesting for the team. “Valerie taught us how to pack for a 10 day business trip or vacation all in one carry-on suitcase”. Lisa of WCI said “I didn’t believe it was possible until Valerie showed me the techniques of putting so many items in my suitcase and how to maximize my wardrobe with items I packed without anything getting wrinkled”. The wine tasting class was held in a private room at the University club. Valerie introduced red and white wines, their origins, varieties, how to pair them with food and how they are catalogued and sold. It gave us the confidence to order, drink and talk about wine in business and social situations, creating immediate savvy sophistication.
“Each class was fascinating! I saw a change in my staff, each in a different way. They all gained different things from Valerie’s courses and they will be able to use this knowledge in their everyday lives” Said Jennifer Hatfield.
And Remember: ……“A sincere smile goes a long way!”
